Welcome to Studio 58 - Where Music Meets History

Once the home of Edward Burkhardt, one of Chesterfield’s original founders, this beautifully restored 1894 residence now serves as the home of Studio 58. Owners Jim and Marci Hennessy, working with architect Lauren Strutman, have transformed the historic property into a vibrant creative space — carefully preserving its original character while outfitting it with state-of-the-art recording and rehearsal equipment.

At Studio 58, our purpose is simple: to practice, play, and perform. Musicians of all ages and experience levels can enjoy a professional yet relaxed environment — perfect for solo sessions, group jams, or intimate live performances. Whether you’re reconnecting with your roots or creating something entirely new, Studio 58 offers the ideal blend of historic charm and modern sound to inspire your next performance.

The Studio 58 Project

When Jim and Marci Hennessy purchased the historic 1894 home at 16658 Old Chesterfield Road — they had no idea how much work lay ahead. Beneath its charming exterior was decades of damage, decay, and disrepair. What could have easily been a teardown became instead a labor of love: a full restoration guided by architect Lauren Strutman to preserve the home’s legacy and transform it into what is now Studio 58.

Practice. Play. Perform.

Built in 1894 and once home to Chesterfield founder Edward Burkhardt, Studio 58 blends historic charm with modern sound. Restored by Jim and Marci Hennessy, the space invites musicians to practice, play, and perform in a warm, club-like atmosphere designed to inspire creativity and connection.

Music brings people together. That’s what this place is all about.– JIM HENNESSY
